Tool
costs for Snap-On, Mac, and Matco sets are approximately
1/2 retail price with school discount. The required
tool set for students in the CAT® Dealer Prep
program is established by the CAT® Dealer Prep
advisory committee and faculty.
ACADEMIC
REQUIREMENTS
To
enter the school an applicant must have a high school
diploma or have passed the GED examination. Also to qualify
for waiver of out-of-state tuition an applicant must have
a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or a 15 on the ACT.
All
applicants to OSU-Okmulgee must participate in The American
College Testing Program (ACT) or College Board SAT and
the Accuplacer CPT test. The Accuplacer CPT measures an
applicants abilities to succeed in the general education
curriculum. Students are not required to complete the
sub test in a subject area in which they have obtained
an ACT sub-score of 19 (or comparable SAT Score) This
is not a pass or fail test, but determines if an applicant
will require remedial instruction to succeed.
Prior
to selection, the sponsoring dealer, will measure an applicants
mechanical aptitude with a written and/or mechanical test.
Also sponsoring dealer will interview each applicant.
